Though high school will soon end, I will never forget the crowded aisles, the filthy restrooms, or the sweet aroma of a freshly lit stink bomb. My efforts will be worth the wait when my diploma is handed to me, and I begin the next chapter in my life.
Unfortunately, tension rises when anticipating the arrival of our dream college’s decision for our acceptance. Will we be blissful at a prestigious school, or stay trapped in Fontana? Simultaneously, students struggle to apply to numerous scholarships, because we are already penniless from senior expenses. They range from purchasing a senior sweater, to an expensive grad night ticket. Prom is especially to blame for every girl’s anxiety. The perfect dress must be found months in advance, and there cannot be any obstacles standing in the way of this flawless night.
The week of graduation finally arrives, and we discover that everything will finally come to an end. All the sleepless nights with homework and the struggles we overcame are worth accomplishing a task twelve years in the making. Nevertheless, the last days of high school are the first days of the rest of our lives.
